Dr. Humayun Hijazi is a highly experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon and Shoulder Specialist with over 12 years of expertise in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He has performed more than 2,100 successful surgeries, including complex trauma and reconstructive procedures, and is recognized for his commitment to patient care and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Dr. Hijazi completed his specialist training with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI, Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery) and further advanced his skills through a dedicated Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at the Dublin Shoulder Institute. He holds additional qualifications from the European Board of Orthopaedics & Traumatology (FEBOT), the Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine (MFSEM), and has a solid foundation in orthopaedic diagnostics and trauma management.
He has served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at leading hospitals in Ireland, including the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, and has a special interest in shoulder trauma, reconstructive surgery, and the use of mixed reality-assisted shoulder arthroplasty. Dr. Hijazi is an active member of several professional societies, including the European Shoulder & Elbow Community and the Irish Shoulder Elbow Society.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hijazi is engaged in ongoing research, with published work in the BMJ and regular participation in international conferences and workshops. He is dedicated to advancing orthopaedic practice through continuous education and innovation.
